With four decades of experience, Southern Cross perpetuates safari camping far from paved roads. The nights are spent in large tents, with tailor-made itineraries from a passionate family business. The house has also offered family rooms since 1982. Programs lead from the Namib to the Fish River Canyon on foot, under the stars, to Kalahari, Okavango and central Kalahari.

Before you set off
On the ground
Safaris favor tracks, bivouacs in large tents and routes off the paved roads. The days combine walking in the Fish River Canyon, crossings of the Namib and evenings under the stars. Some options take place during the rainy season between shrubby savannah and green landscapes.
Preparing your departure
With Southern Cross, align walking, trails and nights in tents on the chosen terrain and the rainy season announced for certain routes.
