1. INTRODUCTION

This Privacy Policy explains how AYIVOO collects, uses, and protects personal data.

3. LEGAL BASIS (GDPR)

We process data based on:

  • contract necessity,
  • legal obligations,
  • legitimate interest,
  • user consent (where applicable).

4. HOW WE USE DATA

We use data to:

  • operate the platform,
  • process bookings,
  • prevent fraud,
  • improve services,
  • ensure security.

5. DATA SHARING

We may share data with:

  • service providers (for bookings),
  • payment processors,
  • compliance authorities (if required by law),
  • technical service providers.

We do NOT sell personal data.

6. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

Data may be transferred outside your country, including outside the EU.

We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

7. DATA RETENTION

We retain data only as long as necessary for:

  • legal compliance,
  • dispute resolution,

Requests can be made via: contact@ayivoo.com

9. SECURITY

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data.

However, no system is 100% secure.

10. COOKIES

We use cookies for:

  • authentication,
  • analytics,
  • performance improvement.

For directory analytics, AYIVOO records page and listing views, approximate engaged time, contact-link clicks, favourites, claim-journey events and commerce events such as cart or order conversion. These signals help us improve listings and identify businesses that may wish to claim an existing public profile. We do not use these signals to activate online sales automatically.

Repeated listing views are deduplicated for a short period. Time is counted only while the page is visible and active, and is capped per signal. Administrator and agent sessions, and IP addresses placed on our exclusion list, are excluded from prospecting indicators.

The analytics visitor cookie lasts up to 12 months. Raw IP addresses attached to analytics sessions are removed after 30 days. Event-level analytics are kept for up to 13 months; after that period events are deleted and remaining session identifiers and account contact details are anonymised. Security, payment, contract and legal records may follow longer retention periods where required by law or for dispute resolution.

Where consent is legally required, optional analytics are used only after consent. In other cases AYIVOO relies on its legitimate interest in operating, securing and improving the directory; users may object by contacting contact@ayivoo.com and can also block or clear the analytics cookie in their browser.

11. THIRD-PARTY LINKS

We are not responsible for third-party websites.
